Aberdour clock tower
Aberdour is home to a fair few landmarks, it boasts three Doocots after all! But the one that struck us most, and very nearly didn't post about, was their clocktower.
This clocktower was built in memory of Dr Robert Spence in 1910. He was a local man who served his communities needs for near on 40 years.
The Crow family wound this clock weekly and did so for three generations until the clock was brought into modernity in 2006 and converted to electric means. It is a well loved and looked after memorial and you can tell by looking at it. We debated not including it at first, but it was such a lovely piece and part of Aberdour's very own history that we decided no matter how small the history and how personal, we'd include it.
