Frankenstein bar

 

As a bar/club we obviously were not allowed to explore the inside of this interesting Edinburgh building with our doggo in tow, but that doesn't mean we can't feature it. 

Well established within a 19th century presbyterian church, which we can find next to nothing about, the Frankenstein bar, named after Mary's Shelley's famous creation, serves the gothic in mind on a near daily basis.

The Martyrs' Reformed Presbyterian church was built in 1859 and has been many things in its lifetime since being removed from the cloth. But currently it is a horror themed gastropub including an animatronic Frankenstein which we are sad to have missed.

Otherwise, and rather sadly, that is all we know about this building which seems a crying shame, but it is certainly eye catching and well on brand for the gothic architecture of Edinburgh!
