Barley Methodist Church
On our way to Pendle Hill we walked past an interesting little chapel which quite obviously used to be the Barley Primitive Methodist Church. It wasn't the first though.
Built in 1910 as a Primitive Methodist Chapel, this church was a replacement for the original chapel in the lower village which is now the Village Hall. This one stood from 1884 but evidence suggests that there was an even earlier chapel, but clearly it didn't mean demand hence the newer one from 1910.
Sadly, that is literally all the information we have on this little church, but it was a nice spot as we marched towards our most challenging climb to date.
